Atlas A9 Autostrada dei Laghi

The stretch of motorway between Grandate and Chiasso is a road link between Switzerland and Italy on the local and large scale between northern and southern Europe. Used every day by immense numbers of vehicles, the road winds through tunnels and overpasses offering unique views. An unmistakable trace, though in driving along it one fails to perceive its regional impact, for the locals it is now a presence integrated into the landscape.
