The building, intended for the maintenance of the boats used in the public navigation service, was created by altering the 1913 buildings, keeping the fronts with their characteristic decorations. Though executed with innovative structural solutions – prefabricated elements, trusses/shed roofing in metal and glass – the new building retains the typological imprint of the previous one, using a contemporary language to recreate the two large naves of the workspaces, open towards the lake and surrounded by small structures for offices and functions serving the work area.
