The main building of the villa rests on a large base that extends beyond the building’s base and in which the living and service areas are placed together with the dock. It is a sort of “inhabited wall” that draws the dividing line between lake and garden, adding a functional content and an architectural sign to the traditional retaining wall defining the shoreline in the inhabited areas of the lake.
