A sketch by Giuseppe Terragni depicted a coastal path for Villa Olmo, but the idea was already present in the Catelli-Giussani Plan from 1919-26. The plan, though in a different form, was realized in the post-war period by combining the artefacts on the lake of the 17th/19th-century villas at Borgovico. Abutting onto and partly incorporating the piers, docks and retaining walls of the properties, the pedestrian path effectively connects the city to the park of Villa Olmo and offers a double and new view of the city and the main fronts of the villas.
