In 1969-1971 the architect Angelo Mangiarotti built the Lema headquarters at Alzate Brianza. The building represents the culmination of his research into prefabrication for the factory typology. The U70 Isocell construction system is based on a point-supported structural grid that allows for the connection of pillar, beam and roofing tile by an interlocking system. It is distinguished by a continuous soffit of beams and roof tiles that ensures free positioning, a range of interchangeable infill panels and rapid assembly.
